QA Mobile Tester - Unix / SQL / HTTP / XML at Warren

Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a QA Mobile Tester in Warren, New Jersey (NJ).Job Description:The person should have very good experience with regards to developing test plans, executing test cases, managing defects, working with development and business analysts in resolving issues. The test activities primarily include testing mobile applications from a rich client and also an end-to-end perspective. This work involves looking at the operation of the application on the handset and also testing the backend systems with regards to the message flow. The work includes testing APIs, reading and writing into the database, checking server logs, upgrading mobile device software (new firmware and application downloads), reviewing requirements in order to test the functionality of the software, testing applications designed to run on mobile devices (handsets and tablets), and testing the message flow from a system level perspective regarding the application interacting with multiple backend systems or servers.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:This position is for a quality assurance tester, as the individual should have 5-10+ years QA work experience. The individual should be very familiar with UNIX; SQL; HTTP; XML; mobile applications running on Android, IOS or RIM, using tools like Jmeter or LoadRunner. Additional experience regarding TCP-IP is desired. The person should be a team player, possess good communications skills and be a self starter. A majority of the testing will be done in NJ but travel within the United States may be required. If so, this would be for a short duration, being a couple of times during the year. The person should have a BS and or MS degree in a relevant technical field such as CS, EE or MIS.
