Job Description

Position Title; MIS Manager

Department: Operations

Reports to: VP of Operations


Job Summary: The primary purpose of the MIS Manager position is to develop and provide insightful and actionable MIS and management reporting related to the EDDY s business of matching prospective students to its network of online and campus-based programs.

The individual will need to work with DBAs and Architects to conceptualize, design and implement databases for the use of and benefit from EDDY s various data sources. The MIS Manager will design and put into production MIS and reporting that will aid in understanding of key business trends and patterns across the company. The MIS will pertain to various aspects of the company s business, including but not limited to, Marketing and Partner management, Sales and Account Management, various internal properties and websites and business lines.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures.

Position Responsibilities

Business - Develop a strong understanding of the various EDDY businesses, their key metrics and KPIs and provide insightful reporting to help the businesses maximize their short and long term profitability.

Data Warehouse -- Work with the database managers, IT, Product Management, Operations and Account Management to ensure the data warehouse has all the relevant customer, school and campaign information.

Reporting be a key player in the design, development and deployment of reports that are geared towards providing meaningful and actionable insights into each of EDDY s businesses.

Operations Work with the Technology and Finance teams toward the implementation and management of administrative systems and controls.

Other duties as directed by management

Job Requirements
Specific Position Requirements:

Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in an MIS/Data analysis role in marketing, sales or related functions, preferably in the gaming/hospitality, financial services or internet/mobile industries;

Bachelor s degree in the field of computer science, engineering, business, finance Master s degree preferred; expertise with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc; experienced in data extraction (ETL) and report development with applications such as Essbase, Hyperion, OBIEE, etc; direct involvement in working with large volumes of data, and building, deploying and measuring (a) business programs (b)test/control offers, and (c) real-time marketing rules; knowledge of data mining techniques;

Proven track record in applying MIS and report development skills to enhance business insights (e.g., customer response, revenue growth).

Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel


This position reports to the VP of Operations in Hoboken, NJ. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks that proactively impact the business; to synthesize findings and insights and to make recommendations from data and analytics; to work effectively in cross-functional teams. The individual will also have strong project management skills and excellent communication and coaching skills.

Finally, the position will also require the ability to work effectively at multiple levels within the organization, including interacting with the CEO, operating heads and VPs throughout the company.
