Primary Responsibilities
As a Management Associate you will have immense exposure and training in various key positions and disciplines within the Oil, Gas and Chemical business which will put your career on an accelerated career ladder to a critical management position in our industry.
This position will allow you to develop and strengthen your key business and management skills, (strategic planning, P&L management, employee management, field operations etc.) through rotating assignments, training, and direct leadership

We have 10 business lines within US and the division Oil, Gas & Chemicals (OGC) Services is the market leader in independent inspection, testing, verification and specialized technical services to the Oil, Gas and Chemical industries.
Specific responsibilities
- Analyze and review regional market data and convert it into a language that can be easily understood by others in the business.
- Identify and implement transformational changes to improve business practices through recommendations obtained through implementing six sigma or other similar tools.
- Maintain close observation of the industry trends and interpret how that might impact the Oil, Gas and Chemical business.
- Identify, explore and implement new opportunities, products and services for the business to enhance business growth and increase customer satisfaction.
- Assist managers in overseeing field and/or laboratory services to assure the highest level of Operational Excellence, compliance with contractual obligations and company policies and procedures.
- Establish relationship and ensure a collaborative working relationship with internal and external customers, develop well established contacts, and support growth strategies.
- Able to adapt and be flexible with implementation of strategies and projects.
- Develop and define skills to provide performance feedback and coaching staff in the business.
- Develop competencies and skills through observation, assessment and performances.
You will develop and execute
- The skills to translating business strategy into pragmatic action plans and through execution obtaining cost effectiveness while taking and managing the risks involved.
- The ability to identify emerging shifts in the business environment and access the economic implications through competitive analysis coupled with the ability to make sound and timely decisions to maintain competitive in the market.
- Leadership skills necessary to lead by example in action empower and motivate reporting staff toward full development of their individual potential within an entrepreneurial and customer service oriented environment.
- At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
Profile
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of five years of progressive business responsibility, preferably in Oil, Gas, Chemical, Service or Industrial Services.
Or
- Masters Degree in business administration coupled with 2 years of progressive business responsibility, preferably in Oil, Gas, Chemical, Service or Industrial Services.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of how industrial service companies operate.

Skills
- Must have unquestionable business and personal integrity ethical standards.
- Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills as well as significant prior experience crafting important internal communications.
- High levels of resourcefulness, influence/organizational savvy, execution skills (strategy through implementation) as well as executive presence/impact are critical to the success of this individual.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels in an organization.
- Demonstrates a collaborate approach to problem solving for win/win solutions with peer team members, management and customers.
- Able to juggle multiple demands while working in a fast paced environment.
