Our Accounting Services Office located in Moorestown, New Jersey is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our Accounting team.
You will be responsible for the following:
Payroll and Accounting
Process field payroll and distribute paychecksPrepare payroll reports and distributeAssist with reconciling of Reliability ReportsPrepare checks for payment of garnishmentsVerify Contracted Services invoices for completeness and accuracyPrepare payments for contracted servicesKeep Time LogsComplete employment verificationsCopy and distribute W-2 forms as requestedRespond to service office questions regarding field payrollAccounts Payable
Verify appropriate authorizationCode invoice to proper accountCoordinate with person printing checksMatch invoice to check and check for accuracyMail checksFile invoicesCoordinate vendor setup with Director of Accounting or his/her designeePrepare and distribute Accounts Payable reportsReview expense reports for authorization, code and submit for paymentControl, reconcile and replenish petty cash accountsRespond to service office questions regarding accounts payableLate List
Receive, match and distribute all claims and invoices to the appropriate billerReceive, sort and distribute all billing documentation received from service offices according to established schedulesReview all items received from the Collections department for inclusion in the late listMaintain the file of all unbilled claims that have been entered into the late listPrint and distribute weekly late list according to established scheduleAnalyze late list to insure accuracy and identify trendsCommunicate with service offices regarding late list problems and suggestionsRespond to service office questions regarding late list issues.Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 1 to 3 years related experience.
Knowledge of a variety of office practices, operation of office equipment, such as computers, requiring some advanced skills knowledge.
Knowledge of basic accounting required.
