Responsibilities and prospects for Clinical Outsourcing Analyst include:

  • Evaluate clinical service suppliers and establish supplier governance processes
  • Establish contract management processes
  • Develop training for internal stakeholders on Procurement and Contracting policies and procedures
  • Perform due diligence evaluations of External Service Providers (ESP)s in accordance with SOPs included but not limited to financial due diligence, quality, capabilities, and risk.
  • Engage clinical teams and other subject matter experts to facilitate supplier evaluations.
  • Confirm services provided through review of supplier contracts.
  • Utilize guidelines and templates to enter supplier evaluation documentation into the database.
  • Contribute to the development of processes to manage relationships with external service providers including governance, risk management and performance metrics.
  • Utilize knowledge of contracting management systems to assist in defining business requirements for a contract management/tracking system.
  • Facilitate transition from a manual contract tracking process to a system/database supported process.
  • Enter contract data into tracking database.
  • Assist in developing contracting metrics and processes to track metrics.
  • Develop training materials for internal business stakeholders on Procurement and Contracting policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of processes to deliver training to ensure effective communication and compliance.

 

Education and experience for Clinical Outsourcing Analyst include:

  • Minimum 3-6 years professional experience in outsourcing and contracting pharmaceutical clinical services including supplier evaluation and selection and contracting
  • Experience in partnering with clinical teams to drive supplier selection and contracting.
  • Strong analytical capabilities required with an understanding of medical/clinical pharmaceutical development.
  • Broad knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management including development of metrics for clinical service providers such as CROs.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel required, MS Access skills highly desired.
  • Experience utilizing Contract databases and/or Contract Management software.
  • Education Degree in business administration, science or related field.
