Job Description

Summary: This position will provide support to the New Jersey Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, Elevation, & Mitigation (RREM) Disaster Recovery Program. Specialist will conduct file/data reviews and assist with monitoring activities at various stages within the programAs needed, Specialist will serve as a liaison between Program contractors and Applicants to include meeting coordination, and Homeowner assistance with completing program forms such as selecting various housing options, etc.Primary Responsibilities: Assists with day to day program coordination needsProvides various program administrative services including data/document control requirements for the program and development of periodic ad-hoc or routine status reportsSpecialist may assist with developing training or other written materials and Program deliverables as neededConducts file/data reviews and monitors project activities at various stagesPerforms sampling and testing activities and assists with development of tests as necessary to maximize project efficiencies Monitors quality assurance activities to determine conformance with program policy and procedures Coordinates, logs, and trends resulting corrective action requirements Ensures the effective implementation of the quality program for assigned project tasks.Serve as a liaison between program contractors and homeowners as needed to answer general questions and assist in completing program forms Assists homeowners and contractors with various program forms and day-to-day program questions about standard processes and procedures as needed Other assignments upon requestQualifications/Competencies/Experience:BA/BS/AA degree in relative field desired, but professional experience may be consideredMust have technical/professional background in QAQC, finance, business management, engineering, architecture, construction management or similar fields.Ability to acquire a working knowledge of applicable rules and regulations and the ability to provide technical assistance for the RREM Program. Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in MS Office SuiteEffective oral, listening, and written communication skillsBilingual applicants will be strongly considered and are encouraged to applyAbility to complete work assignments independently with minimal supervision/guidance.Experience with CDBG/HUD programs, FEMA, and/or other Disaster Recovery programs is strongly desired but not required Typically has 2-10 years relevant experience.Additional Comments:Valid Driver?s License requiredOccasional travel may be necessary
