Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager reports to the Plant Manager of the site in our Clark, NJ facility with a dotted line to H.R. Functional Lead for the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full human resources generalist support to the manufacturing site, including recruitment and retention, HR program administration, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, talent development, coaching and counseling, and policy interpretation.

Essential Functions and Duties:

The H.R. Manger will be responsible for supporting the Plant Manager and their respective leadership team at the site. They will be experienced in and broad range of H.R. generalist activities and work collaboratively with the site leadership team.

They will support the development of recruitment strategies and execute them to ensure well suited candidates are identified internally or hired externally in a timely manner.

Support the talent development agenda and understand where the direction of the site is headed, the gaps, competencies needed to get there, assist leaders in creating meaningful development and succession plans.

Must be able to form strong and solid working relationships with functional and departmental leaders based on trust and respect. Successful candidate must be well versed in providing feedback and coaching techniques.

Able to establish credibility throughout the site with management and the employees and be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues. This will include a high level of visibility on the production floor and the ability to work well at all levels of the organization.

Responsible for ensuring the plant is in compliance with all government regulations and corporate policies including, but not limited to employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, and employee complaints
.
Support the leadership team with providing proactive strategies and techniques to increase employee engagement, retention, and morale.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of culture and environment of the site, as well as the broader understanding of the business direction of the organization. This will require a presence in the headquarters facility in Beloit, WI and possible visits to other plant manufacturing sites on a regular basis.

Support safety initiatives and training efforts, as well as participate as an active member of continuous improvement activities.

Education and Experience

Job Requirements



Bachelors degree required, MS preferred from an accredited institution with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience of H.R. experience in manufacturing with lean and continuous improvement environment.

Specialized experience and knowledge in broad range of human resources disciplines, including recruitment, talent development, performance management, compensation, retention, employee engagement, and training.

Track record of maintaining absolute confidentiality. Strong presence, professionalism, and objectivity. Sense of urgency in addressing organizational and individual needs. Ability to make timely and informed decisions. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Mobility: willingness and ability to assume similar or more advanced HR roles in other business units and/or locations.
