Job Description
The Senior Manager, Openings Distribution Launch will collect, validate and transmit property information used to set up initial distribution for a franchisee. The Senior Manager, Openings Distribution Launch will act as the liaison, support, and trainer to a new property or a property going through a conversion. Coordination and assistance will be provide by the Senior Manager to complete all functions needed to launch the property on all distribution systems that include brand.com, Wyndham reservations systems (ORS, CRS, Idiso), GDS, OTAs , etc. This will include training the property on Revenue Mgmt standards, setting up rates & seasons within those standards, assessing the competitive environment and ensuring competitiveness, acting as a support for reservation system functionality, and ensuring the property has a sound revenue management and distribution strategy in place prior to and through the opening/conversion.
- Property Distribution LaunchPerform analysis, develop a plan, and assist property with initial loading of distribution systems. Analysis will be scaled to the market segment/size of the hotel but may include: competitive landscape analysis, STR analysis, rate levels & rate seasons analysis, rate code & room type analysis, determining appropriate OTA participation, assisting in developing OTA/GDS/PPC marketing spend plans, establishing call center representation etc.
- Process ImprovementAssist in continuously improving the process by which properties are launched on Wyndhams distribution systems. Provide training and guidance to the Openings team related to collection, validation and loading of information related to the launch of distribution for new properties.
- Quality AssuranceAssist in the design and execution of agreed upon post-load quality assurance and testing process across all distribution channels. Manage the relationship and communication with the Hotel Operations Center to ensure accurate and timely loading of rooms, rates, accounts and other keydistribution information.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years Revenue Management experience.
- CRS / PMS and ideally Opera ORS and PMS knowledge strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of travel industry distribution systems and OTA models (opaque and non-opaque) mandatory.
- Proficient at statistical and competitive analysis.
- Proficient in the use of automated systems, pc and software programs including: Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of GDS systems and rate loading is a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.
- Project management - Strong problem solving and project execution skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, make decisions and drive operational change.
- Business Analysis Review property data, identify opportunities and the root cause of issues to assist in developing strategic and tactical direction to maximize property performance.
- Indirect Leadership Provide leadership within Openings and across multiple departments to assist with identifying opportunities and resolving challenges related to opening properties effectively and efficiently
- Communication Design, develop and manage operational reporting that drives company performance related to Distribution Launch.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
