Concurrent Review Nurse at Newark

Job Description

Job is located in New Brunswick, NJ.Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the open Concurrent Review RN opening.

Concurrent Review RN will be responsible for the following:

- Provide effective communication telephonically. Must be articulate, credible, and provide excellent customer service both with patients and other departments.
- Telephonic concurrent review and discharge planning of all INPATIENT admissions
- Ensure proper care plan is established for transition of care from inpatient to outpatient admission
- Coordinate discharge needs to an alternative level of care when necessary
- Communicate between member and outpatient setting.
- Facilitate needs including:
- patient medical needs
- benefit interpretation
- living arrangements (pre and post hospital)

Job Requirements

6.00 The ideal Concurrent Review RN will meet the following requirements:

- Active and non-restricted Registered Nurse License
- At least 3 years clinical background
- At least 1 year managed care experience
- Discharge Planning and Concurrent Review exp required
- Case Management experience preferred
