Job Description
- Contract to direct position for a Human Resources Assistant / Generalist to support the Human Resources Manager in all facets of staffing, recruiting, and RIFs.
- Post open jobs according to HR procedures, coordinate interviews in Outlook.
- Prepare paperwork and/or folders for interviews, staffing, new hires, and orientation. Check completed orientation paperwork for accuracy and send to Human Resources
- Update and distribute Emergency Evacuation documentation as needed, perform the duties of Assistant Fire Warden.
- Responsible for I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
- Prepare and maintain EEO/AAP Applicant Logs & assist with AAP Voluntary Self-ID tracking.
- Assistance with Workers Compensation.
- Maintain all needed documentation, binders and file systems.
- Coordinate/schedule meetings; prepare room and meeting folders, order lunch if needed
- Update HR Staffing Report and monthly New Hire Stats report.
- Make travel arrangements & prepare expense reports.
- Provide back-up support to Front Desk Receptionist.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a HR Generalist.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Experience with reporting, documentation, audits, etc.
