ATS currently has an immediate opening for a Japenese/English Desktop Support Tech.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Act as point of contact to end-users for support and maintenance in desktop and server computing environments via phone and e-mail requests.
  • Set-up MS Windows to new clients by ghosting or clean installation; create Active Directory and Lotus Notes accounts, printer and domain suffixes.
  • Create and/or modify client and shared folders on the file server with applicable permissions.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/OS, application software problems in MS Windows, Active Directory and TCP/IP environments.
  • Assist clients in advanced or unknown MS office functions. If answer unknown, research the function and follow-up with client with appropriate answer.
  • Record and detail all support calls and emails in companys tracking system.

Job Requirements

  • Must speak, read, and write Japanese
  • Minimum one year of work experience in a Help Desk support role.
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent (College degree highly desirable with computer coursework and/or degree)
  • Experience and proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office, Antivirus and Help Desk operations.
  • Comfortable communicating in both languages to American and Japanese executives and clients.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and basic reasoning skills.
  • Must have the ability to follow-through on requests and ensure requests are completed.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and guidance.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Willingness and flexibility to handle a variety of requests.
