Job Summary:Professional claim advocate whose primary responsibility involves taking claim details from Commercial and Personal Lines policyholders and identifying specific coverage issues associated with the claim reports and settlement process.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure client satisfaction of all claim processing, handling and settlement
• Submit claim reports to carriers in a timely manner in accordance with company and State regulations
• Data entry to maintain current file data and history
• Communicate with customers, staff and other interested parties regarding the status and investigation of claims
• Evaluate open claims for settlement and reserve potential
• Review and analyze coverage position and denial letters
• Follow all claims reported to resolution and conclusion
Job Requirements
Required Competencies:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Good technical knowledge of commercial and personal lines insurance coverages
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude, self motivated and proactive
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
• Attention to detail and critical thinking
• Good organization and prioritization skills
• Ability to initiate and foster excellent client/carrier/fellow employee rapport
• Experience with computers and related software (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook)
• New Jersey State P&C License
• College Degree preferred
• AIC designation preferred
• Experience in Workers’ Compensation Lost Time management highly desired
