Procurement Expeditor at Lyndhurst

Job Description

ATC, a progressive Supply Chain Management Company, seeks a Procurement Expeditor for our Argo Technologies Division in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.

 

 

• Works with the Procurement team to ensure the timely delivery of all required materials/commodities for assigned customers.  Manages and supports the expediting process.

 

• Contacts suppliers to obtain information relative to the procurement and/or delivery status of items. Replies to pertinent email inquiries and phone calls.

 

• Confirms Supplier promise dates at appropriate intervals in the supply cycle to assure flow of accurate information to the Customer.  Contacts branches relative to shipment information in effort to keep delivery dates accurate.

 

• Provides various reports on the status of procured materials and commodities.

 

• Proactively identifies and reports potential problems which will result in not meeting deadlines, or which may result in potential quality problems

Job Requirements

 

• Minimum 3+ years of associated background in expediting OR the aptitude to establish the required skill set to prove successful in the position.

 

• A degree in business or a technical discipline is a plus, however experience will be weighed heavily when assessing candidacy for this position.

 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Able to communicate/interact with all levels of management as well as branches and vendors alike.

 

• Ability to enter data efficiently and accurately in ERP systems and other databases.

 

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on MS Excel.

 

• Position requires an individual that can work with a strong sense of urgency, speed and adaptability to changing Customer / BRANCH requirements.
