AFTERMARKET - TECHNICAL ENGINEER
POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
Provide technical sales and solutions needed by the customer. Provide technical support to external and internal customers. Maintain awareness of markets, competitor activities; recognizes trends that develop, makes appropriate recommendations as required. Provide standard customer support functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide timely commercial and technical responses to customer inquiries.
2. Enter and update quotations and other customer information in CRM system.
3. Enter orders into company ERP system and monitor backlogs.
4. Provide support and information as required to other areas of the company to ensure customer orders are shipped on time and meet customer requirements.
5. Assist with coordinating field service requests to maintain customer satisfaction with DDPS.
6. Working with other sales and service personnel to solve problems for customers.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Customer-focused, proactive mindset with EXCELLENT MULTI-TASKING SKILLS AND a bias toward meeting or exceeding commitments and deadlines. ABILITY TO READ AND INTERPRET 2-D AND 3-D CAD DRAWINGS AND TECHNICAL MANUALS. Knowledge of company’s products and how they are used. Ability to answer technical questions and/or resolve technical problems. EXCEPTIONAL written and verbal communication skills A MUST. Good interpersonal skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, ERP systems and web-based software.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
None
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employee will work in a well-ventilated modern office with occasional trips to plant environments as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BSCHE or BSME degree with two (2) to five (5) years of experience. BSCHE candidates must possess a strong mechanical/equipment aptitude. BSME candidates must possess a strong chemical aptitude. Experience working in a technical business environment. Knowledge of company’s products and customers a plus.

Technical aptitude with desire to acquire thorough knowledge of the company’s products and how they are used. Independent self-starter with a utilitarian "just get it done" approach. Detailed, organized individual with ability to multi-task. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
