Do the best work of your life!The Infrastructure & Environment Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Engineer/Professional Planner for immediate employment in the Clifton, NJ office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Site Design/Utilities Engineering and Professional Planning, specific to Industrial Site Development and Permitting. Reviews regulations and standards necessary to identify permit requirements, conduct technical studies and carry out project design and obtain permits Directs and/or conducts field data acquisition Prepares designs, specifications and construction documents Applies engineering principles to develop effective solutions Completes planning and evaluation studies Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, transportation impact analysis, and designs for project Inspects construction site to monitor progress and assesses conformance to engineering plans, specifications and construction standards and permit compliance May oversee construction and maintenance activities at project site in support of construction management tasks and/or design-build projects May use computer-assisted engineering and design software, including computer simulation models and Geographical Information System (GIS) software, and equipment to prepare engineering and design analysis and documents May analyze reports, maps, drawings, topographical, hydrologic and geologic data to plan project and identify regulatory requirements Researches feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions and regulatory agency specifications This position requires the flexibility to serve as a cross-disciplinary resource to best serve the needs of the URS Corporation The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed aboveURS is a leading provider of engineering, construction and technical services for public agencies and private sector companies around the world. Job Requirements

B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field NJ Professional Engineer (PE) License NJ Professional Planner License (NJ PPL) Minimum 4 years of working as a civil engineer on site development/planning and permitting for construction projects Experience with New Jersey state, regional, county and municipal permitting requirements, including International Building Codes, Municipal Land Use Law, zoning regulations, construction codes/permits and NJ Department of Community Affairs permits/approvals Experience with agency coordination, client management, business development, and task management Ability to travel required, primarily in-state with potential for occasional overnight stays Valid Drivers License Required Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. Has knowledge of applicable health and safety requirements and environmental concerns
