As a Telecommunications Specialist your responsibilities will include using your familiarity with telecom facilities such as:

• Maintains phone lines, phone systems, phone equipment and voicemail systems
• Respond to telecom infrastructure issues via ticketing queue. Work and interface locally with end-users, as well as provide remote support to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Familiar with wiring closets and able to perform cross-connects as needed
• Contacts and interacts with vendors to resolve issues
• Performs moves, adds and changes of phone lines when necessary
• Maintains records of lines and circuits
• Familiarity with provisioning cell phones
• Maintains phone systems with little or no down time

• Three to five years experience with Mitel, Cisco, Avaya, Nortel and Call Center applications
• Experience with associated telecom facilities (T1s, DIDs, CO Trunks, Toll Free, etc)
• Ability to troubleshoot phone issues and determine who to contact to resolve issues
• Ability to interact with empoyees at all levels
