Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 for Stevens Institute of Technology, The Innovation University, is a premier, private research university situated in Hoboken, New Jersey overlooking the Manhattan skyline. - Manage up to 30 frontline (hourly) employees
- Supervise one location regularly plus three additional locations while serving as the "Manger on Duty" on a regular, weekly basis
- Ensure all meals are prepared and served on a timely basis and according to all Sodexo and Stevens Institute of Technology Standards
- Maintain the integrity of all Sodexo food safety programs and practices
- Run the front-of-house and focus on customer service and quality perception
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong culinary/food production background
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and ensure standardization and consistency
- Experience with Sodexo systems and Blackboard registers (preferred)
- Experience managing in a Union environment
The food Service Manager will work a schedule of Sunday through Thursday with a typical shift time of 3:00 pm to 12:30 am. This manager will be the primary interface with customer base in the evenings.

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume GMs responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
