Position Summary: The Woodrow Wilson School is looking for a qualified candidate for a part-time one year renewable term position as the Sr. Research Specialist/Special Assistant to the Dean. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, planning and implementing special projects identified by the Dean. He or she will be expected to assemble, manage, and analyze a variety of data sets, have an understanding of high-level primary goals of a research project, and have excellent skills to search broadly for the best available data. In addition, he or she will be expected to write summaries of research, perform literature searches and reviews, and post information on the Web. The candidate also needs to understand and translate academic research papers and produce PowerPoint presentations. Position requires a high degree of independent work with minimal supervision by Dean or other staff, and the ability to manage and push forward on several projects at the same time. Additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have exceptional judgment, integrity and problem-solving skills. S/he must have excellent organizational and managerial skills and the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Qualified candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills. An advanced degree in a field related to public policy is preferred.Job Function: Administrative or Professional
