Nurse Practitioner – Medical Office Nursing / Healthcare
Job Responsibilities
Our Nurse Practitioners are responsible for diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team in a medical office.
Additional responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner include:
- Evaluating and recommending medical treatment for sick visits for newborn through 21 years of age
- Ordering, performing, or interpreting the results of diagnostic healthcare tests such as complete blood counts (CBCs), electrocardiograms (EKGs), and radiographs (x-rays)
- Obtaining, analyzing and interpreting patients histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses
- Communicating with patients, educating during the visit and providing follow-up communication regarding lab/test results or needed referrals
- Communicating appropriately with healthcare team including Physicians, APN/PA’s, Supervisors, Manager and other personnel

Successful candidates of the Nurse Practitioner role have the ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations with a high degree of accuracy.
Additional requirements of the Nurse Practitioner include:
- Master’s Degree in related healthcare field
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner License
- 1 – 4 years of experience in a Nurse Practitioner role
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
