Teva API, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Inc., and a business unit of Tevas Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Division. TAPI is the leading international supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) to the pharmaceutical industry. The position is for the Teva API, Inc. office based in WoodcliffLake, New-Jersey.
Responsibilities:
The Director Sales & Marketings main responsibility is to maximize existing sales for Teva API, Inc and to generate new business opportunities within the branded companies segment, in an effort to meet or exceed workplan sales goals. This role requires broad scope analysis and understanding of the pharmaceutical market and specifically the branded segment, its players and products; the ability to negotiate win-win results; and the ability to see the complete picture, identify opportunities and execute on them in a timely manner. Through strategic thinking and awareness, the incumbent executes on valuable opportunities to the organization, while providing valuable insights and recommendations to management. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, multi-task capabilities, networking base and skills, is energetic, self motivated, strong inter-personal skills and able to work under minimal supervision.
Travel Requirements: International and Domestic 35-40%
Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets defined
- Continuously analyze assigned customer base to identify and develop new opportunities and re-evaluate existing opportunities.
- Identify new customers through market analysis.
- Expanding the network within the branded companies segment while identifying and executing on new business opportunities
- Utilize negotiation skills in order to assist in the execution of commercial and developmental purchase orders and agreements with the assigned accounts.
- Full preparation for every meeting with a customer, including analysis of the customer, opportunities and full understanding of TAPIs portfolio.
- Travel throughout the defined territories in order to maximize sales and meet the target number of visits. All visits require advanced preparation in order to achieve maximum results.
- International travel for trade shows, training purposes and with customers where relevant.
- Attend yearly conferences, including DCAT, in order to better network within this industry.
2. Account Management
- Responsible for managing defined accounts with back office customer service, marketing, finance and logistical support
- Meet all customers needs based on identification, presentation and sale of products to the customer
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the product line, understanding the needs of this group of customers, the competitive landscape and knowing how to sell Teva APIs products based on their requirements.
- Provide strategic insight to the internal management team and suggest ideas for enhancement of operations or improvement.
- Interact with global business units and customer base
3. Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Education Required: Bachelors degree with a minimum of two years experience in pharmaceuticals (preferably within branded companies or pharmaceutical related supply; two years API sales to pharmaceutical customer base is preferred.
