Role Summary/Purpose:

As a Strategic Territory Manager, you will be responsible for selling ERP Software to medium and large wholesale distributors. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Participate in finding leads, the development, presentation and sales propositions. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale.

EssentialResponsibilities:
  • Manage a accounts in a geographical sales territory
  • Manage inbound large project leads / opportunities
  • Finding leads within large national and multi-national named accounts and non-named accounts
  • Qualify opportunities with the aim of maximizing leads
  • Plan and implement sales campaigns
  • Co-ordinate with pre-sales and professional services teams
  • Input ideas and participate in marketing events
  • To fully understand the business requirements of prospects and customers
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts
  • Manage the short, and medium, and long term pipeline


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience of new business sales
  • Proven sales success – consistently 110%+ of $2m + annual software quota
  • An accomplished track record of selling multi-level to business, technical, IT people, and C-level executives
  • Business applications, e.g. ERP, Supply Chain, and CRM
  • Background of distribution markets and businesses preferred
  • Quickly qualify opportunities and key strategic positions for each new prospect
  • Build and maintain relationships at the “C” and “VP” levels of the defined target markets accounts
  • Successful candidates may have worked for companies such as: Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, Lawson, Infor, HighJump, Manhatten, Exact, Sage, or other ERP companies.
