This Solution Marketing Manager will have a deep understanding of the Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES) strategy and various product offerings; how these service offerings relate to the overall strategy and to each other in a lifecycle context; and how to engage our sales teams and partners to actively promote and sell them. This individual will possess a unique combination of marketing and business skills.
We are looking for an individual who will be charged with leading the VES Marketing Integrated Solutions team focused around four main themes: Intelligent Networking, Dynamic Cloud, Mobile Workforce and Connected Machines. This individual will collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management as we continue to innovate in our solutions offerings. The role will drive VES thought leadership and marketing awareness with solution development, executive presentations, and business readiness documentation. Specifically:
Build and promote the Horizontal Solutions Enablement Framework - the processes and tools utilized by all internal teams to create and launch solutions for VES. Provide direction to and support of all Solutions, Product and Professional Services teams as to appropriate development and/or go to market path for their individual solutions. Support the Management Review Board regarding validation and alignment of solutions development direction vs. individual deal pursuit.
- Spearhead the Solutions Review Board (SRB) whose charter is to administer Solutions Governance by developing, maintaining and evangelizing a single solutions ideation and creation process across all of VES. Facilitate this by maintaining a “Solutions Catalog” of all approved, in-market Solutions which enables rapid assessment of new solution ideas and their relationship to the existing portfolio (i.e. where this fills a gap or creates potential overlap).
- Collaborate with the various platform teams (M2M, Cloud, Mobility, Security, Network) to leverage the Horizontal Solutions Enablement Framework for the creation and launch of innovative solutions that generates and meets customer demand and drives strategic revenue to Verizon.
- Oversee the transformation of the Horizontal Solutions Enablement Framework into Verizon’s new Rapid Delivery program, by collaborating with the PMO team and project team members in validating current/future business needs for solutions and creating/modifying and applying the Solutions Framework requirements for development and launch.

- Drive sales and revenue performance of the four Solution Themes, and evolution of the portfolio, by evaluating in-market performance and adjusting to improve sales and market adoption. Provide day-to-day coaching and leadership to the individual Solution Managers.
- Manage the Solutions Review Board process, which functions as final marketing approval for messaging-only solutions and "gate 0" pre-approval for all new solutions ideas. As part of SRB, canvass for agenda items, set agenda, lead and produce meeting summary; steer toward proper development path.
- Extend Horizontal Solutions Enablement Framework to strategic partners and alliance relationships by collaborating with solution partners external to Verizon which allows the rapid deployment of partner solutions within the VES solutions to be sold as Verizon-hosted components.
- Ensure the production of regular Theme/Solution performance reports and associated action/remediation summaries.
- Develop and manage the necessary documentation, collateral, and training curriculum for all VES Product Marketing teams (‘consumers’ of the Horizontal Solutions Enablement Framework) to enable teams to effectively utilize the Framework.
- Participate in Verizon Lean Six Sigma (VLSS) projects as identified to refine packaged solutions within Themes and Solutions to product more targeted, winning configurations based on market trends and established best practices.
- Attend the Management Review Board (MRB) representing the marketing organization, as needed. Individual must have the leadership and decision making skills to analyze complex deals and make a determination on deal pursuit. Ensure alignment with overall VES product and solution strategy; facilitate communication between Solution and Product teams and the MRB.
