Operations Analyst

Youll analyze and solve real world problems, and build metrics and business use cases around key programs.

The successful candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets, and can partner with customers to answer key business questions. You are analytical and creative, and you dont quit. This client has a culture of data-driven decision-making, and demands business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to display your skills in the following areas:

You are the analytical lead and expert on the team, interfacing with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting and analysis solutions.

You have an understanding and empathy for business objectives, and continually align your work with those objectives and seek to deliver business value. You listen effectively.

You analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.

You develop solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.

You own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing KPIs, metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.

You recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

You write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data.

You use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business.

  • Liaises with the global IT team to ensure the effective running of all financial systems and applications.

You respond with urgency to high priority requests from senior business leaders.

Basic Qualifications

Strong SQL Experience including Stored Procedures, Temp Tables, Views

Demonstrated ability to understand complete and complex business flows and interact with all levels of business

Experience in data mining using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex multi sourced datasets

Prior experience with SSRS

Knowledge of software development

Knowledge of multi-dimensional modeling

Basic knowledge of Project Management methodology and practices

Desire to dig in and become part of the team

Microsoft Excel proficiency including Pivots and VLookups

3-5+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting.

Strong written and verbal communication

Experience mentoring others in SQL and the use of large data sets

Experience building and managing mass-advertising analysis models

Experience in customer segmentation

Experience building databases from the ground up
