Job Description
The Master Data Analyst manages and administers Product Data across the enterprise, ensuring high levels of metadata, data quality, integrity, availability, accuracy, completeness, consistency and privacy.
- Defines the Product data structures and is the custodian of the Product Master Data
- Design and Implement the elements, attributes and other characteristics of Product Master
- Responsible for standardizing data naming, establishing consistent data definitions, monitoring/auditing the data quality
- Drive Data Governance. Establish governance guidelines and principles. Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide decision making and help to ensure that the optimal governance structure are in place. Promote the outcomes and results to the organization
- Identify, analyze and report/resolve data issues, related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness.
- Establish data profiling techniques for data patterns and metric/benchmark reporting to derive actionable insight.
- Establish and maintain the data dictionary
- Provide analytical and governance skills to maintain and develop enterprise master data through enterprise MDM tools.
- Develop, Verify and suggest changes to requirement gathering, design documents, perform impact analysis for application changes.
- Plan and organize tasks, report progress, manage & coordinate with the integration partners for implementation.
- Provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group.
- Assist users with problems and resolve issues independently.
Job Requirements
- Must be results oriented with a can-do attitude.
- Minimum seven to ten years of total experience in multiple disciplines such as data analysis, process analysis, business process cycles within a multitier organization
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in hands-on implementation of Master Data.
- Experience with ERP, Database Management Systems and Data Warehousing systems.
- Experience with Data Management Capabilities such as Data Governance, Data Quality and Master Data Management.
- Expertise in defining master data structures, source to target mapping, business rules and definitions.
- Expertise with setting up data structure for one or more of the leading ERP modules (i.e. IFS, Oracle, SAP etc).
- Focus on relationship building, ability to work with other leaders and peers across the organization. Should be comfortable working in a rapidly transforming organization
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments and familiarity with information management practices and the ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
- Ability to facilitate meetings and follow up with resulting action items.
- Bachelors degree in accounting, business, computer science, computer engineering or a related field of study from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
