Job Classification: Contract One of our clients is looking for an Oracle DBA.The DBA will help to create uniform processes amongst several different business units, as part of a shared services model.Another piece of this project is migrating from the JD Edwards application, which includes first going to first build new RACs in their environment (Unix/Linux based) using Oracle 11g. These RAC systems will also be running Oracle 11i and R12 E-business suite applications in addition to the JD Edwards application, so candidate must have working knowledge of these technologies. They must also have solid experience in working across multiple teams to ensure proper system integrations.The Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for performing Database Administration to ensure continuous 24x7 operation and availability to support of mission critical business applications within a team structure and compliance requirements. The Oracle DBA will have a challenging position with the responsibility for day to day Oracle database administration in a variety of Linux/Unix based environments including Virtual Machines- VMs. This position will also be involved in installing, maintaining and updating Oracle databases and Oracle based technologies for several Oracle E-Business Suite applications including R12 and 11i. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the overall Oracle systems architecture concerning databases and computing environments from the client to middle tiers to database servers, including systems integration. Work with the management team to establishes strategies and priorities for the overall enterprise by analyzing and understanding the current and future database, applications needs and business needs.
