Job Description

Center Director

To oversee the day to day operations of a childcare center for The Learning Experience while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the educational development, safety and welfare of the children and staff.

Job Requirements

Center Director

Experience: Must have at least 2 years of experience managing a licensed child care center 
Requirements and Certifications:
  • Meet standards as stated in the current State of New Jersey Chapter 122 Manual of Requirements for Child Care Centers (Requirements vary according to educational credentials and managerial experience in a child care related program)
  • BA in a child related field a plus
  • State Teaching Certificates a plus
  • CDA a plus
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Acts in a nondiscriminatory manner
  • Strong MS Office and Excel
  • Basic understanding of general business procedures and basic accounting principles including reconciliation, payables and receivable
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, staff, vendors and upper management
  • Ability to communicate company policies and procedures in a firm and clear manner to staff and parents
  • Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional health to perform his or her job duties satisfactorily
  • Possess skills,  attributes and  characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with children, parents, coworkers, clients and management
  • Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks a required by the State and company regulations and procedures
  • Valid NJ Driver’s License
  • CDL-(vary by location)
  • Red Cross First Aid Card/Infant-Adult CPR (within first 90 days of employment)
