RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

C2 Systems Administrator shall support the Chief of AMOS Systems and C2 Systems Team to ensure servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices, and software is on-line and available to the user as outlined in AFI 13-1 AOC Volume 3. Contractors will provide support to AMOS training suites to facilitate interface between the Air Mobility Division and the AOC for training. The AOC weapon system is the senior Command and Control (C2) element of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) and operational level focal point for C2 of air and space forces during Air Force (AF) and combined (coalition)/joint operations. Headquarters (HQ) Air Combat Command (ACC) is the Lead Command, Combat Air Force (CAF) lead, and force provider of AOC equipment and personnel as an Air Force component of United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) - [AFGSC], United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) [AFCENT], and United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) [AFSOUTH]. There are numerous AOC entities at separate locations world-wide, providing fixed and deployable, training and innovation, functional, and manpower augmentation capabilities.

• Install, configure and maintain approx. 80 C2 systems servers on a daily basis.
• Administer approx. 80 C2 system operating systems.
• Load approx. 150 C2 system application software and patches on an approx. monthly basis.
• Install, configure and maintain approx. 60 system workstations on an approx. weekly basis.
• Perform backup of approx. 80 C2 systems.
• Manage approx. 60 AOC small computer/terminal resources.
• Manage approx. 150 user computer software configurations and tactical LAN systems.
• Coordinate with users, workgroup managers, and communications focal point personnel to resolve computer software and hardware problems on an approx. daily basis.
• Coordinate with communications focal point personnel for changes to approx. 150 computers, servers, or LAN systems on the C2 systems network.
• Participate in DT&E and OT&E of C2 systems and new technologies on an approx. quarterly basis.
• Provide C2 systems administration and engineering planning, integration, implementation and operations in support of approx. eight operations, exercises and major experiments per year.
• Provide mentorship to newly assigned C2 systems administrators and engineers on an approx. weekly basis.
• Collaborate with AOC/AMOS Training Managers as necessary to ensure MQT requirements and instruction are accurate and reflect the individual AOC configurations, technologies and support responsibilities on an approx. quarterly basis.
• Travel in support of operations in support of war, contingency and humanitarian operations, exercises and experiments that may require CONUS and OCONUS travel.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent related military work experience (USAF, USA, USN or USMC).
• Minimum three years of experience working with operational-level C2 systems with demonstrated experience performing AOC (Falconer) C2 systems administration (five years experience is highly desired).
• Demonstrated experience in AOC exercises or operations as AOC C2 Systems Administrator.
• Experience supporting AOC operations within classified environments to include SIPRNet and JWICS.
• Demonstrated systems administration proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Sun Microsystems Solaris operating systems software for servers and workstations.
• Demonstrated system proficiency with the following: Global Decision Support System (GDSS 2), Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS), Intra-Theater Airlift Request System (ITARS), Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES), Global Command and Control System (GCCS)
• (Desired) Completion of a formal C2 FTU AOCIQTSYS and/or AOCIQTNET course or equivalent.
• MCSE, A+, Security+, or equivalent commercial certification.
