Optum Cloud Director / Senior Program ManagerAs part of a newly forming Optum Cloud organization, will be accountable for end-to-endportfolio management for foundational platforms that enable Optum Cloud. Will lead, coordinate and manage work streams supporting the platforms and products within the Optum Cloud Foundational Portfolio, as well as new initiatives resulting in new Cloud assets. The position reports to the Foundational Portfolio Leader and will initially serve as the Portfolio Manager accountable for Health Application Enablement Services & Trust Broker Platforms/Products. Specific responsibilities will include: Manage and be accountable for all activities across the portfolio (indirectly manage assigned resources) including product development, operations, program management, revenue generation, adoption, branding, client implementations and client satisfactionHelp to maximize revenue for assigned portfolio by contributing to market strategy and product launch plansSeek, obtain and secure approval for resources, capital, and infrastructure to ensure program successPartnering with Optum Cloud Leadership, the Portfolio Management Team will be accountable for facilitating the prioritization of all initiatives within the Optum CloudWork with EPMO to develop project management resource expertise to meet the demands of Program Management on behalf of PortfolioEnsure delivery of projects on scope, on time, on benefit, on budget, on quality and within specifications of the business for Optum CloudEstablish Portfolio level reporting for the Optum Cloud and ensure management is informed on the performance of all programsEnsure the business and IT work collaboratively together to ensure the success of initiativesPartner with extended Optum Cloud Leadership team (Product Management, EPMO, Infrastructure Services, UHG-IT, Human Capital, Communications, etc.) to drive vision and strategy and deliver on the initiatives necessary to integrate/develop new enterprise Cloud-based capabilities into the Optum Cloud

Job Requirements

Candidates will possess:10 + years of Project Management experiencesProven Program and Portfolio Management skillsExperience leading programs with high complexity and visibilityProven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into tactical initiativesAbility to understand the underlying business model and question / challenge others to think through the problems, improvement opportunities, solutions, and plansDemonstrated success leading IT programs with matrixed program teamsSuccessful track record of delivering programs on scope, on time, on budget, on quality and on benefitCapable of gaining support for initiatives through influence and use of business rationaleProven ability to influence course of action when others are directly accountable for outcomeWell-honed communication and relationship management skillsAbility to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to executivesExcellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple prioritiesAbility to travel up to 25% of the time if requiredKnowledge of Cloud-based solutions and the Agile development method desiredExperience in the healthcare industry preferred Prior experiences launching commercial software productsof value Relevant bachelors degree or equivalent experiencesAlready Fortune 25, we are totally focused on innovation and change.
