BRANCH MANAGER, Plumbing HVAC Sales at Hainesport

Job Description

The business has been established for over 60 years and is growing in a highly competitive market. We have an opening for a Branch Manager in our Hainesport New Jersey location.

The Branch Manager has overall hands-on responsibility for managing and participating in the branch operations and selling functions, implementing policies and procedures, and overseeing staff that will result in the success of his or her assigned branch. Focus is on customer service and order fulfillment accomplished through strong operational efficiencies. The Branch Manager is accountable for achieving the branch’s budgeted profit goals and objectives and for ensuring that the branch is run efficiently and in accordance with corporate policies. The branch manager is expected to enrich and nurture customer relations through direct personal and phone contact and participation in marketing events and related trade association activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Manages and directs the operation on the cost and quality of order fulfillment. Monitors operational performance via reports such as branch audit summaries, customer service reports, product reports, inventory and sales reports.

•Ensures that the entire branch team is knowledgeable and courteous in the process of servicing and expediting customer orders. Develops a branch team passionate about providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

•Assists in the development of short and long-range goals for the branch as well as in the development of the annual sales and profit plan for the branch. Is responsible for meeting branch goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

•Ensures that the branch is operated ethically and maintains its good standing in the industry and community. Participates in aligning the branch culture with company Values at all times. Ensures that the branch complies with all federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and statutory requirements to minimize liability. Creates and maintains a safe and pleasant work environment for employees and customers.

•Works with the Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure that market trends are considered in stocking decisions. Directs all activities related to merchandising of products throughout the branch, including but not limited to “Special Buys", Counter Promos etc. Identifies new accounts through customer profiles and works with outside sales reps and the Director of Sales and Marketing to set pricing strategy for the branch’s market area. Responsible for maximizing sales and profits for all customer accounts and for monitoring and evaluating the activities and products of competitors in the branch’s market area.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

•Minimum 3 years HVAC and/or Plumbing product knowledge coupled with a minimum of 5 years of managing several customer sales/service and inventory associates. Experience in performance management and implementation of training activities for direct reports.

• Capable of building a positive culture with an employee focus on the customer. Must maintain and cultivate cooperative relationships inside and outside of the organization.

• Must possess a commanding and outgoing personality, and be accountable, passionate, respectful, ethical and conscious of creating Win/Win scenarios.
