Job Description
Network AnalystUpdate and maintain Network PeopleSoft Item Master.
Determine appropriate coding (e.g. financial coding) and attributes for all new and updated Items within the Network PeopleSoft Item Master.
Coordinate input and review of new and updated Items with Network Engineering, Network Finance, Network Inventory, Asset Management and the Tax organizations.
Support Network Contracts Team initiatives to restrict vendor/item use and vendor/item sourcing efforts.
Analyze and process end user requests for additions and changes to the Network PeopleSoft Item Master, ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
Provide end user support and troubleshoot issues related to PeopleSoft Item & Purchasing Kit inquiries.
Educate buyer community on purchasing kits created to facilitate Purchase Order creation (e.g. in support of vendor "Quote to Cash" programs).
Test and pilot joint initiatives and solutions with Network vendors for Item creation and maintenance.
Receive and process in a timely fashion regular Item maintenance files from top Network vendors.
Develop, communicate and support business processes as they relate to Item creation and maintenance.
Engage in special projects that have a direct impact on improving system performance or business processes. Participation in such projects would include defining business requirements, generating test conditions, conducting system testing and documenting new processes/procedures.
Provide user community and management with key status reports and system metrics.
Run weekly report of newly added Items and perform quality audit to ensure accuracy of attribute assignment and make any adjustments in a timely manner.
Maintain Standard Purchasing Item lists and approved source vendor information on PeopleSoft Information web page.
Must have experience PeopleSoft ERP application, including Purchasing Module.
CATS Fulcrum inventory application experience a plus.
Required Skills and Experience
Associates Degree Required, Bachelor s Degree Preferred. 4 years of related work experience required.
Previous application support experience.
Previous Network engineering and/or financial accounting experience.
Familiarity with Network vendor equipment (e.g. Lucent, Motorola, Nortel).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in database packages (e.g. Access) and software utilities (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.).
Detail oriented work ethic.
Strong interpersonal skills
Previous experience in supporting web based applications.
Experience in a purchasing or asset management discipline.
Ability to work both independently and collectively with other reference and support team members.
Good project management skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time in a very dynamic work environment.
Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay lifecycle.
Strong knowledge of Asset Profile and Account code reference data.
4+ years wireless telecommunications experience.
