Job Classification: Direct Hire Our client, an international financial institution in Jersey City, is looking to hire an Application Development Manager to join their team on a full time basis.This person will be responsible for managing a team of 3-5 C# .Net Developers that support the banks middle and back office trading operations. This is a management position but this person will do some development as well. This person will be engaged with the developers on their application designs and must be able to make enhancements when needed. They will be responsible for mentoring the team members, doing performance reviews, resource planning, and budgeting. They will lead projects, delegate responsibility, and act as a liaison to the business users and senior management. The technical environment is C# .Net 4.0, SQL 2008, ASP.net, and Web Services. This person will be managing development initiatives in the support of areas such as market risk and profit & loss reporting.Candidates must have experience managing a team of C# .Net developers in a capital markets trading environment. Candidates must have strong knowledge of capital markets. Any experience with market risk would be ideal. Candidates must have experience with resource planning, budgeting, project management, and staff management. Candidates must have application development experience with C#, .Net 4.0, SQL, and ASP.net.This is a Vice President level position.
