New Student Coordinator at Brunswick

Job Description

The New Student Coordinator will work as a member of the admissions team to assist recently accepted students with the enrollment process for Ross University School of Medicine or Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. The individual will be responsible for the timely resolution of student questions and maintenance of applicant records. This position will regularly interact with students via phone, email and written correspondence.

  • Develops and maintains professional communications/relationships with prospective and newly accepted students including: following-up and soliciting feedback from students on their admissions progress; encouraging enrollment and closing students toward matriculation; and responding to student requests for various materials.
  • Follows-up with accepted students as necessary to move them forward in the admissions process to meet expected conversion goals.
  • Encourages submission of medical documentation from incoming students and processes/reviews for accuracy to complete the Student Visa process.
  • Works closely with campus staff to ensure a seamless transition for students.
  • Maintains reports on admissions activity and admissions decisions.
  • Supports information seminars and campus registration as needed.
  • Participates as an Admissions team member while working diligently and willingly towards the Admissions goals and objectives.
  • Performs other, related duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Admissions.
  • Sends outgoing and distributes incoming faxes to the appropriate person; sends/receives routine E-mail.

  • Bachelors degree required with a minimum of two years administrative / marketing / customer service experience in a professional work environment required. Years of relevant experience may substitute for bachelors degree.
  • Polished interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and managers.
  • Superior verbal, organizational, written and professional telephone skills with a customer service focus.
  • A quick learner in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to to perform accurate filing and data entry using multiple student database systems.
  • Knowledgeable of all Microsoft Office products, Outlook and Internet applications.
  • Previous experience with SCT Banner is a plus.
  • Eagerness and willingness to assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to travel occasionally (over-night) to assist with student admission seminars 2-3 times per year
  • Ability to travel internationally, to our campus, 1 time per year.
  • Passport required.
