Technical Banking Project Managers-NJ/Work from home-2 openings at Mount Laurel

Job Description

Looking for two technology Project Managers for six month contracts with extensions in the proximity of our clients southern NJ office. Candidates can work remotely but will need to come into the office occasionally .. Preference will be given to candidates with prior client experience and/or that are willing to come into southern NJ office once a week.

Seeking 2 technology PM who will work with the LOB PM these PM will represent technology and deliver the technology piece of the project to the line of business PM.

There is a strong potential of long term employment so candidates should be open to that.

PMs can work remote, but they would prefer someone who can come onsite in Southern NJ 1 day per week this is very beneficial in building relationships and this is where the internal customers sit.

We would prefer to have someone who comes from a company where the PMO is regimented in their methodologies concrete procedures and policies (think Pharma, Financial, Healthcare).

Team size will be 25+

A new project of significant size & scope (Application) (2.5 M)and drive through completion, managing technology, line of business and management stakeholders. We are looking for strong technical PMs who has worked on Application development experience.

A driver will ask questions, do what is needed to get the job done

Key accountabilities are:

Sets direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.

Direct or manages large-scale applications, programs or projects across multiple product lines, involving significant scope and complexity. Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.

Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure meet promised schedules.

Performs risk identification and mitigation activities, escalating unresolved issues to the Executive and / or Steering Committee where appropriate to secure their timely decisions/support.

Manages the acquisition and deployment of resources, including budget, by working with the Project Managers to secure the resources required for the project.

Ensures client satisfaction with the project process and project team by effective and timely communication including status reporting, continual risk/issue assessment/management and escalation, and resolution of issues as they arise.

The successful candidate will be required to work with and influence senior level leaders and partner with other IT Managers.

SKILLS:

Proven leadership skills and experience managing large and complex IT projects. Full life cycle development experience.

Experience with proven project methodology tools.

PMI or ITIL certification.

Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint.
