Sr. Consultant-Product Lifecycle Management at Basking Ridge

Job Description

Responsibilities

The Portfolio Management team will evaluate new product ideas to ensure they are aligned to the companys strategic/corporate objectives and Product Domain Roadmaps. The team will prioritize products based on the financial benefit to the business and will drive the resource allocation by working very closely with IT, Network and Finance and other key stakeholders. The team will lead the Portfolio Stage Gate Review with the Product Domains and Business Units to ensure that all VP organizations are aligned before a product formally continues in the development cycle. In addition, the team will monitor the work flow of the portfolio, conduct funnel management, monitor ROI and the financial investment as the product continues in the development cycle.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years total experience in Technical/Business Portfolio Management, Marketing (Product Strategy, Lifecycle Management, Documentation Development, and Project Management)
  • Strong technology background with experience in developing business models for new technology products and services
  • Experience in product lifecycle management including formal stage gate process
  • Background managing product specifications/requirements and defining and implementing product strategy/roadmaps
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent written and verbal communications skills to clearly and regularly communicate status, issues and risks to executive stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly resolve complex problems and identify, develop and quantify any required corrective action plans to keep program schedules on track
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to implement and manage multiple programs and priorities under strict timelines
  • Bachelors Degree in Business and/or Engineering related fields of study preferred

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Technology background with experience in developing business models for new technology products
  • Financial analysis skills with experience in evaluating new platforms & technologies and ability to analyze business cases, product profitability models, and budgets
  • Product Marketing, Product Development and/ or Operations Experience
  • Supervision/Management Experience
  • PMP Certification, PgMP Certification
  • Microsoft Office Proficient (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Masters degree preferred (MBA, MIS, M.S. in Engineering)
