Senior Analyst Global Transparency Data and Strategy at Franklin Lakes

Description Job Summary:This position will have the major responsibility to support the Transparency Reporting and Compliance Manager to enable a Global Transparency Reporting strategy. Enable and support BDs Sunshine Act/ Transparency Reporting system and processes that will report data from BD source systems in order to be compliant with reporting requirements. This role will require the incumbent to leverage their existing hands on knowledge and experience of the Federal Sunshine Act and HCP data analysis expertise to configure and implement a technical solution that will take into account BD source data behavior and BD business and data system differences. The incumbent will be responsible to work across BD functions and businesses to help enable and execute the processes, procedures, and systems for the Global Transparency program as a subject matter expert. The successful candidate would have experience in different business processes and areas, project management experience, systems and data experience, as well as communication skills. Primary Responsibilities: Work within the Transparency Reporting team to develop business rules that are reflective of BDs complex business environment in order to meet 3rd party reporting software configurations and reporting requirements. Build and configure system rules and conditions to ensure source data feeds will meet requirements for implementation (data cleansing, data source prioritization, de-duplication, exception identification, etc.) Create and complete test plans including business scenarios and documentation (schedules, scripts, users, etc) for User Acceptance Testing, and BD project implementation documents, specifically the configuration of the Cegedim tools Nucleus360 and AGS360, as needed. Provide support to translate transparency requirements and clarifications and ensures that the requirements are accurately reflected in the end-to-end system and processes. Understanding of reportable data from BD source systems from Compliance design to provide data stewarding analysis and analytical expansions for data extracts and scenarios. Assess the availability of required data points across relevant business and system processes, and identify gaps associated with data capture and reporting requirements (e.g., data obtained from Concur to ensure that HCP details required are already built into existing fields in system). Perform data quality assessment strategy to assess whether the existing data in source systems, including interfaced data, meets the standards for quality, accuracy and completeness. Assess the master data or general data quality issues that may impact ability to report information to the state/government agencies. Produce gap analysis related documentation to identify the prioritized gaps in business processes, data controls, systems and data as well as the related recommendations for improvement. Create data analytics and metrics using data from transparency reporting and sources beyond transparency compliance reporting. Build the processes and designs to enable the transparency strategy to proactively mitigate risk, and to enable routine reports that provide information to bring business intelligence and value for decision making. Responsible to coordinate and address new system and data requirements that result from business changes to ensure the end-to-end transparency system and processes are in sync to effectively and efficiently process the changes. Working with internal and external subject matter experts, create and maintain BD implementation related documentation, including data related mapping, internal required documents from various functions as needed, project action items and resolution tracking. Partner effectively with the support functions responsible for the applicable technology and data, and for the provision of data and support documentation. Support the coordination and preparation for existing Transparency or other compliance reporting requirements as needed. Working with internal and external subject matter experts, create and maintain BD reporting related documentation, including data related mapping, internal required documents from various functions as needed. Support the development of comprehensive process to handle disputes arriving from external customers and resolution. Leverage the best practices learned from US Sunshine implementation to support the build of a global transparency solution strategy in order to address cross-border spend, global reporting solution, global governance organization, global reporting process, etc. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Sunshine Act and global transparency reporting requirements in order to assess general data quality issues that may impact ability to report information to the state/government agencies. Qualifications Profile Information:

  • Ability to understand and capture business process and general understanding of system flow dynamics
  • Understanding and experience of Transparency Reporting and Sunshine Requirements.
  • Solid understanding of key customer data sources, attributes, match merge processes, quality of data etc.
  • Possess strong analytical skills to comprehend existing business processes and related IT standards and requirements
  • Ability to provide informed decisions on the existing data processes and required changes to processes.
  • Knowledge of the BD functional groups and sources feeding data
  • In depth knowledge of master data and transactional data, data attributes, characteristics etc.
  • In depth understanding of source systems and source systems provided customer data -Particularly of HCPs and HCOs related data and data attributes.
  • Good analytical and data analysis skills for review and interpretation of data
  • BD relevant experience to lead a systems configuration based on business rules
  • Ability to work independently and follow-up with functional contacts for clarity
  • Comfortable with data, data mining and ability to manipulate and work with different file types (flat, system downloads, etc)
  • Knowledge of SAP (Release 4.0 or above) general ledger systems is preferred. SAP 6.0 is a plus
  • Incumbent must have good interpersonal/ communication skills, be self-motivated and able to work independently to accomplish responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and effect change, and process improvements.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 4 years related experience. 1+ year working hands-on aggregate spend reporting is strongly preferred. 1-2 years experience at pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing industry in order to provide the business and technical complexity knowledge necessary to help implement a robust system that captures data across all businesses. 4+ years in data analytics or relational database expertise. SQL script writing and knowledge a significant plus.
