We currently have a Junior Financial Analyst career opportunity at our Northvale, NJ location.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Junior Financial Analyst will interface with Nassau Management Team and Finance to analyze financial and operational data in order to measure and compare profitability and identify improvement opportunities:

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Month end close The Financial Analyst will assist in the following areas during the monthly close process:
Preparation of journal entries
Preparation of departmental P&Ls
Gathering of data

Monthly reporting The Financial Analyst will assist in the preparation of reports for Nassau Management Team to use as a tool to monitor and control their profitability.

Budget and Forecasting The Financial Analyst will assist the Nassau Management Team and the Finance Team to produce an annual budget and monthly forecast for their business unit.
Gather historical data
Work with business units to determine direction of the business in the upcoming year

Special Projects The Financial Analyst will support Nassau Management Team and the Nassau Finance Manager on special projects
Work on any assigned projects to produce timely, accurate, and actionable results.
Perform various analyses to identify trends and anomalies in the business

Ad-hoc Reporting
Provide reporting on an as needed basis using various reporting tools

Accounts Payable - The Financial Analyst will reconcile monthly vendor invoices to statements
Track incoming packing slips and receipts, reconcile to statements and prepare for payment
Work with A/P to insure prompt payment of invoices

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree with a major in accounting or finance preferred
Proficient with Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Financial Systems skills a plus- Oracle
Desire to learn and take on various types of responsibilities
A self-motivator, eager to learn and grow
Must have an analytical personality and a desire to dig for more information
A team player, must be able to work with people within and outside of the finance department
A fast learner, able to learn the lab business in a short time
Excellent communication skills verbal, written and presentation
Must be able to multi-task
Willing to work overtime when necessary
