Classification: Software Engineer

Compensation: $40,909.99 to $50,000.00 per year

Robert Half Technology is seeking a Software Quality Engineer for a South Jersey company. In this role the candidate will be responsible for full test lifecycle, including automating test systems; create test documentation, test plans, scripts, test conditions, test matrix, and progress and completion status; identify defects and communicate with the software engineers and support team; control and plan project-specific software quality activities including acceptance tests of software, support to development team activities; verify appropriate documentation of development output for Quality System; create, write and execute test plans for manual and automated tests; create and validate test data for functional components of software applications; advise and support the QA manager on software deployment team; recommend process improvement of software development and deployment; track standards set by software testing authorities and create company testing standards; implement and participate in walkthrough of software; and install software for testing purposes.

Job Requirements

The Software Quality Engineer must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years of software quality assurance experience. Qualified applicants will also have the following skills/experiences: Understanding and knowledge of quality assurance processes and methods used in software developmentExperience in diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issuesAbility to write test case in functional, negative, Equivalence class partition (ECP) Boundary Value Analysis (BVA), regression, integration, performance, load, stress and acceptance testing.Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficientlyAbility to read communication styles of team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplinesAbility to testing .NET and Java based applicationAbility to write SQL statement and concepts of databasesAbility and desire to learn, understand, and apply new technologiesExperience in using automated testing tools (Quick Test Pro Test(QTP, framework), VB Scripting, SOUP UI)Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile and scrum methodologies and documentation (CMMI)Knowledge of Software Test Life Cycle (STLC)Knowledge in skills and in the use of technologies for detecting and tracking defects in Team Foundation Server (TFS) For immediate consideration please contact Joe Scheinfeld- [Click Here to Email Your Resum]
