The preferred location for this position is Bridgewater, NJ; alternatively it can be based in Raritan, NJ. It is a global transformation project, strategic to J&J. SAP is the ERP platform of choicePrimary Responsibilities of this position include the following:In the roll-out schedule for Back to Basics this position is responsible for the technical execution of a single rollout. Responsibilities include planning, costing and launching the technical team during the planning phase and managing the day to day operations during the execution phase of the project. Experience in large SAP roll-outs with a globally distributed team and a strong technical background is a must. This position will provide direction and guidance to the technical team.Additional responsibilities include:Managing the application development team across the SAP suite. Managing the interface development on webMethods and PI. Managing security delivery. Managing Test Automation. Provide inputs to the cutover plan. Coordination and planning with the site teamsSecondary responsibilities include:Coordination and planning with the Basis and Infrastructure team. Coordination and planning with the System Architecture team. Coordination and planning with the Process Integration team. Coordination and planning with the Testing team.QualificationsA Bachelor&s degree is required; A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred. A minimum of 8 years of SAP project experience is required, preferably in large global roll-out projects. Broad technical delivery experience is required. Experience managing multiple teams in different geographies in an onsite offshore model is required. Experience in planning, costing and managing WRICEF with SAP and webMethods (as the middleware) is needed. Experience with SAP security design is required. Experience in managing complicated cutovers is required. Experience in managing HPQC, building and deploying test automation to accelerate testing is needed. Ability to partner and communicate across multiple organizations is required. Capability to implement and report on metrics (defects, cycle time, etc.) is required. Managing processes against critical KPIs and reporting on status is required.The ability to exercise judgment and influence on key technical decisions (for example, standards and policies, technical solutions), lead and influence others, and continually improve work procedures and processes is required. Experience developing new processes/ procedures/ standards, modifying existing processes to achieve expected results, and establishing systems to measure process performance and compliance is required.An understanding of how your area of technical expertise interrelates with other core service platform and/or influence I/T colleagues to redefine technical strategy and services in order to ensure alignment is required. A strong background in SDLC and software development is required. Experience with agile development methodologies is preferred.Ability to function very independently is required. Big picture orientation with strong attention to detail is required. Collaboration skills with the ability to build strong production win/win relationships with all partners in these processes are required.
