Field Test Engineer
As a Field Test Engineer you will be responsible for testing Wireless devices/Wireless modules in the field for Network connectivity. Field Travel will be approximately 75-80% to various domestic markets areas to test, evaluate and analyze SW/HW for CDMA and GSM Mobile Handset Design. As a Field Test Engineer your will be responsible for the following:

Execution of test cases per CDMA and/or GSM standards and internal/external specifications.
CDG3 compliance testing on live customer networks.
Conducting performance benchmarking to competitor/reference phones.
Call Performance testing using Mobile Diagnostic Monitors to verify RF compliance and performance, etc.
Review logs, determine Root cause analysis of network or device failures encountered according to data collected
Assist with design and implement new testing procedures for mobile testing services of all aspects of devices.
Provide efficient reporting methods aligning with client needs.

Job Requirements

4 Year Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
2 or more years experience with GSM/CDMA/EVDO/LTE device field testing.
Strong working knowledge of GSM/CDMA/EVDO/LTE air interface technologies.
Strong working knowledge of wireless device diagnostic tools (QXDM, Windcatcher, etc).
Working knowledge of multiple device OS, Android, iOS, windows phone, Blackberry OS 7 and 10.
Effective troubleshooting and analytical problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply working knowledge of wireless engineering on new projects including training existing team on new technology.
Consistent follow-up on outstanding items.
Must be able to spend periods of time conducting tests and analyzing data in a moving test vehicle.
Ability to work varied and extended hours/days, as business dictates and in order to accommodate customers short notice request for testing
