Job Description
CALIBRE is looking for an ITAM Coordinator to provide technical expertise to manage the Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program at an assigned military installation, to include organizing all components of the program and coordinating personnel, materials, equipment and facilities to accomplish these tasks. The candidate will act as the primary point of contact for the ITAM Program and for making recommendations to the installation staff on ITAM requirements, decision-making processes, and monitoring project execution. Support the preparation of scopes of work for land inventory and monitoring, rehabilitation and maintenance, environmental awareness, and training/environmental integration requirements. Provide information for command decision support, to include preparing and presenting briefings, conducting meetings, and preparing documents supporting land management decisions. Support the development and coordination of the ITAM 5-year plan, annual workplan, spend plan, and annual report.
Job Requirements
One year demonstrated experience with military training readiness and/or natural and/or cultural resource data collection with corresponding experience in military range or training area management or, botany, field ecology, ecological modeling, geographic information systems, and project management and leadership, including the ability to organize and lead program components as a group of team leads.
Technical proficiency with computers to include the ability to create formal reports and presentations with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
The ability to use intuitive web-based systems for data input not much more complex than online banking (i.e., uploading a picture or logging transactions against a project).
Must possess demonstrated excellent oral and written communication ability.
Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to return a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).
Must be able to lift and carry 45lbs over short distances. Must be able to move over, through or around obstacles on unimproved trails and in overland foot travel.
Desirables
MS in Natural Resources, Range Science, Wildlife Biology working knowledge of GIS systems. Experience with planning, estimating, and executing erosion control projects. Previous experience with the ITAM program or military experience strongly desired.
Desirable Certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP)
A four-year college degree and/or military experience in Combat or Combat Support Branches and assignments culminating in a military rank of CPT for officers, CW2 for Warrant Officers or SFC for Enlisted soldiers; Or, A four-year undergraduate college degree in the physical, natural, or biological sciences.
(Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.)
