Job Summary:
This position will work with business analysts to clarify business requirements, design, build and implement new reporting applications, develop interfaces to integrate different systems as well as perform system administration work of the Revenue Management system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Clarify requirements, design, build and implement new reporting applications and solutions:
o Clarify client business reporting needs and recommend solutions.
o Translate business needs into information requirements.
o Work with business to clarify functional requirements for new systems and reporting and assess feasibility of enhancements.
o Design modifications, create specification documents, flowcharts, and data models.
o Responsible for design, development, testing and implementation of Oracle BI Publisher solutions
o Develop and deliver solutions and prototypes as per detailed functional design and comply with development methodology and other technical standards as required by the toolset
o Conduct integrated system tests and document results versus expectations.
o Keep abreast of technologies and trends in Pharmaceutical industry.
o Work with all areas of business support and technical infrastructure to deliver functionality using various. software and software languages
o Convert existing reports to BI Publisher reports
• Plan and develop test cases, scenarios and scripts to validate BI Publisher solutions :
• Design, build, implement, test and support systems integration as required by business objectives:
o Build using ETL for data loads, transformation and integration
o Create and maintain system documentation.
o Research problems, recommend solutions, implement changes, and document fixes.
o Code and unit test interfaces and programs to exchange data between systems.
o Troubleshoot Interface related issues.
o Provide ad-hoc data extracts.
• Maintain quality standards:
o Adhere to project methodology and standards.
o Revise project deliverables (from internal and external sources) to ensure quality.
o Learn best practice techniques for developing information systems, reports, and documentation.
o Schedule and track personal workload.
• Undertake related duties as assigned
o Provide application support to clients with a sense of urgency.
o Follow change control process for appropriate systems.
o Miscellaneous tasks to assist manager and department, as required.
o Set priorities among and within individual project.
o Perform ongoing scheduling of month end reports prior to month end, per provided SOP.
o Load user generated files into Model N application using dataflows, per provided SOP.
o Perform Model N maintenance activities once a month on Saturdays or Sundays, per provided SOP.
o Monitor Model N Application performance
o Investigate Model N Application errors as requested by Business Analyst
o Extract Model N Application error logs to upload to vendor issue tracking system.
Job Requirements
Education and or Experience:
• Bachelors or equivalent required. Preferred area of concentration: Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
• 2 to 4 years of general business/business systems experience.
• 3 to 5 years of Oracle BI Publisher experience.
• 2+ years Oracle PL/SQL programming experience.
• 3 to 5 years minimum experience as an IT professional involved in systems development and maintenance.
• Advanced SQL.
• Model N Revenue Management technical support experience and exposure to JDE Financial Systems is a plus.

o Microsoft Windows operating system, Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher, Cognos 8.3 ,ORACLE 11G + RDBMS, Oracle PL/SQL, ETL, Toad for Oracle, SQL Developer, Microsoft Excel, Project, Visio and Word, Model N revenue management software suite, JDE Edwards Financial Module(s) architecture.
• Project Management - Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
o Organize work, set priorities for tasks, and manage workload.
o Flexibility to work on other projects or different functional areas.
o Perform several project activities simultaneously; multitasking.
o Lead a small team of clients and consultants on a small development or enhancement project.
o Identify areas of concern and communicate pertinent information to teammates and Manager.
