In this summer internship program you will be offered an opportunity to be involved in meaningful work/projects; be exposed to daily operations; attend informational sessions; participate in networking activities with other interns, professionals, and business leaders. You will be introduced to useful tools and resources that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.

These internships will be part of the Operational Excellence and Process Transformation Organization (OEPT). The organization designed to improve the value Verizon delivers to customers, employees and shareowners by identifying and implementing process improvements that will create a more efficient, effective and agile company.

Internship opportunities are available in any one of the following areas within the OEPT organization:

• Customer and Business Intelligence Group (CBI) / Operations Project / Program Management
• Customer and Business Intelligence Group (CBI) - Social Digital media
• Customer and Business Intelligence Group (CBI) - Voice of the Employee
• Verizon’s Six Sigma Group

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program majoring in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Mathematics, Finance, Science or Engineering (process improvement, etc.) or equivalent major
• Currently enrolled in a full time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship
• 3.0 GPA or greater preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong Math, Problem Solving, and Analytical skills
• Good Communication and Time Management skills
• Business & Statistics acumen
• Research knowledge
• Strong team and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Six Sigma
• Project management
• Previous related internship/work experience preferred
