Job Description


New Car SALES MANAGER
The NC Sales Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the NC Sales Department and in measuring the performance of the employees in the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
Attend managers meetings as requested.
Assist the General Sales Manager in forecasting controllable expense elements for the new-vehicle department.
Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect new-vehicle sales.
Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all sales employees.
Direct and schedule the activities of all sales department employees.
Oversee the efforts of vehicle salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction rating of the dealership.
Communicate with salespeople to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.
Monitor salespeoples attendance records.
Set sales and gross objectives for salespeople.
Guide all salespeople in setting their objectives on a short and long range basis.
Review all salespeoples performance as shown on the Daily Sales Operating Reports.
Assist in developing programs of improvement for those salespeople who are failing to reach their objectives.
Recommend for dismissal any salesperson failing to meet company standards.
Conduct daily and weekly sales training meetings as directed by the General Sales Manager.
Work with salespeople on programs that will increase the new-car gross and increase F&I penetration.
Conduct formal personnel reviews with each salesperson yearly.
Running the sales desk in conjunction with the Assistant Sales Manager.
Recommend to the General Manager the new-car inventory to be carried by color, model, and equipment, based on a variety of customer and market analysis.
Develop, implement, and monitor the use of a prospecting program.
Help salespeople close deals when necessary.
Maintain standards for the delivery of vehicles to customers.
Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions.
Follow company rules for safeguarding customer information at all times.
Follow company guidelines such as The Road to a Sale and The DCH Way on the sales process at all times.

Job Requirements


Proven track record of successful people management skills.
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Minimum two (2) years of sales management experience.
Supervisory experience required.
Valid in-state drivers license and clean driving record.
Professional personal appearance.
Excellent communication skills.
