Accounting Manager - International Reporting at Somerset

Job Description

Responsibilities: A Kforce client, a Fortune Consumer Products Leader in the Somerset, New Jersey (NJ) area is adding a Manager of Accounting to their team. Inthos role you will be focusing on International Reporting. In this role you will be managing the Corporations global intercompany reconciliation, elimination, and reporting processes. This is a newly created position due to acquisition!Responsibilities include:

• Manage the Corporations intercompany reconciliation process
• Ensure intercompany balances are eliminated in consolidation
• Ensure intercompany loans are properly documented and accounted for, including the determination of short-term vs. long-term treatment
• Ensure intercompany profit is properly eliminated
• Ensure intercompany balances are settled in a timely manner in accordance with taxing authority regulations
• Act as liaison between tax and financial reporting/accounting departments on numerous matters

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred) or a combination of public accounting and private/corporate experience in consumer products or manufacturing / distribution industry
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA strongly preferred
• Must be able to interpret complex transactions and ensure the accounting for such transactions is in compliance with US GAAP and taxing authority regulations
• Must be able to adapt to shifting priorities while meeting strict deadlines
• Must be able to effectively communicate with accounting, finance and tax associates globally
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed, especially during quarter and year end
