Dispatcher at Roselle

Job Description

On Time Ambulance is seeking an experienced dispatcher for night shift.

Dispatchers are responsible for assigning field resources to scheduled and unscheduled transports in the most efficient manner while also maintaining response time compliance.  The dispatcher is also responsible for making sure time stamps are accurate, taking same day transportation requests including emergencies, interfacing with all operations personnel, reporting any operational anomalies, being the central hub for operational communications, and other duties as assigned.

The night shift dispatch position is a 12-hour rotating shift that involves weekends and holidays.  

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

MUST have prior ambulance, medical transport, or emergency medical services dispatching experience.  

MUST be able to type at least 50 words per minute;

Must have computer experience, specifically Windows 7

Must be able to work 12-hour rotating nights, weekends and holidays;

Excellent communication skills;

Excellent critical thinking ability;

Excellent customer service skills;

Preferred

Zoll Data Systems RescueNet Dispatch/Billing experience;

Prior position as a dispatcher for a private ambulance or wheelchair service;
