Customer Service Manager - $60,000 at Cranbury

Job Description

The Customer Service Manager is responsible for servicing the needs of customers and directing the activities of the Customer Service Representatives. Direct contact with all levels of the organization, especially the sales team, is essential in providing accurate and timely solutions to customers. Will also provide marketing and administrative support.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leads, trains and directs the activities of the Customer Service Department to provide friendly, timely, and accurate solutions are provided to the customer. Assigns tasks and coordinates the activities of the customer service representatives Provides basic technical and product information regarding customer inquires. Receive and process all orders contacting customers if clarification is necessary and providing order confirmations within 4 hours for standard products. Assist customer with order logistics, such as delivery dates, shipping logistics, expediting orders, initiating tracers, and claims Check availability of inventory to ensure prompt order acknowledgment and notify planning if inventory is not available. Cross reference competitive part numbers and descriptions. - Leads implementation of the Customer Portal system. Performs initial and secondary contract review on orders entered. Provides customer information of published prices on standard products. In support of sales team; process sample, literature, and technical service requests and provides critical information in a timely fashion. Coordinate and process customer complaints, returned material authorization requests with Quality and appropriate sales person including documenting in appropriate files. Provide support for tradeshows including paperwork, logistics, and travel. Maintain database of competitor information,pricing/product grid for standard products. Provide Management with information necessary to review, revise, and implement required procedures. Generate reports and sales analysis as requested. Tracks and resolves customer complaints due to customer service or pricing errors. Evaluates late orders and determines how to improve communications with customers and production.
