Storage Engineer at Roseland

Description:
The selected candidate will work within the Distributed Storage Engineering group. Primary responsibilities would include the design, engineering, maintenance and backup of distributed storage across the enterprise.
 
Other responsibilities would include physical installation of new hardware, periodic software maintenance upgrades, level 1 support, troubleshooting, monitoring and reporting, alerting, capacity planning, maintenance of daily processes, and performance tuning. 
 
Additional job requirements include:
 

• Ability to work overtime as required
• Provide 7x24 support when required
• Provide off-hour problem and change implementation support
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
 
Experience in the following areas required:
 

• Network Attached Storage, specifically NetApp and/or IBM N-Series
• Storage Area Network
• Fiber channel technology
• Storage Based Snapshots, including NetApp/IBM N-Series
• Storage Based Replication, including NetApp/IBM N-Series
• NetApp/N-Series Software Capabilities

 
Experience in any of the following would be a plus but not required:
 

• Cisco MDS Director class SAN, including knowledge of vsans and zoning
• NetApp OnCommand Management Software
• IBM, Hitachi, and NetApp storage devices
• Storage Virtualization (IBM SAN Volume Controller)
• IBM Total Productivity Center (TPC)
• IBMs Operations Manager
• HDS HiCommand Suite of Products
• UNIX (AIX, Solaris, Linux) Operating Systems
• Windows Operating Systems
• Strong PC technical skills MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project
