Operations Manager at Rockaway

IHI Ionbond is an international leader in the application of wear resistant thin film coatings on cutting and forming tools, industrial and automotive wear components, medical & decorative and is seeking an Operations Manager for our Coating Center located in Rockaway, New Jersey. This position will report to the Regional Operations Manager.

This is a direct hands on supervisory position to lead the plant effectively in order to maintain Quality, Compliance and employee and customer satisfaction and to continue to drive the plant to success by working with all departments within the business.

Job Descriptions:

Oversees the daily sales and operations of the plant.

Help exceed Company sales and operations goals.

Affinity to selling or working directly with customers.

Responsible for profit and loss at plant level.

Assist in the investigation and analysis of new business opportunities.

Hire train and evaluate core teams in the business.

Oversee the plants procedures and policies.

Set and maintain productivity and quality standards.

Distribute daily workloads to plant personnel.

Ensure Customer excellence and delivery of Quality products.

Oversee inventory in the plant.

Ensure maintenance and upkeep of the plant facility is effective and efficient.

Schedule Production meetings, Safety meetings and Staff meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy, and/or Business.

3+ years of Production, Engineering or Technical management experience in an industrial service or manufacturing environment is required.

Knowledge of medical and dental industry.

Managing a workforce of 15-20 in a manufacturing or production services business, including the direction and motivating of departmental supervisors.

Strong background & knowledge of vacuum systems, material handling, tooling, surface enhancement, and quality processes strongly desired.

Knowledge of PVD coatings.

Working knowledge of ISO 9000 business systems and ISO 13485.

Budgetsand cost controls experience is desirable.

Excellent people management skills and exceptional organization & time management skills.
