Job Description
Overview:
Provide hardware and software support for various applications and IT systems. Install, configure and troubleshoot workstations/laptops. Provide training to end users on use of existing/new hardware and software technology. Create, maintain and update IT documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve a variety of IT hardware and software issues including related office equipment
- Respond to requests for support in person, via phone, or electronically
- Configure and deploy new IT hardware/software
- Desktop support: troubleshooting MS Office, Network Printers, Email, and various user issues
- Support company cellphones
- Train employees on the basic use of company software
- Research and recommend solutions to IT related questions
- Open and follow up on vendor support tickets
- Occasional travel to remote depots to troubleshoot IT hardware and network communication issues
- Occasional night and weekend work may be required
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Ability to manage time efficiently to ensure prompt and accurate resolution
- Strong communication skills and responds well/clearly to questions
- Must be a quick learner and adaptable.
- Must be willing for technical training and development opportunities for job skills
- Operating Systems: XP, Vista, Win 7/8. Mac OSX a plus.
- Workstation Hardware: Upgrades, Part Replacement, OS Reloads, & Troubleshooting Experience
- Troubleshoot system performance problems including virus/malware removal
Qualifications:
- Requires 1 year IT related experience with a technical discipline.
- Advanced technical training or IT certification preferred but not required.
- High School diploma required
