Great opportunity for an iSeries (AS/400) NOCC Shift Supervisor. Bed Bath and Beyond is looking for a self motivated individual to run and manage our diverse shift leadership position.Required skills: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience on the multi System(I-Series, P-Series, Intel, Storage Systems, UPS & Power, Cooling) platform as a SupervisorIn depth understanding of iSeries storage, backup/restore (native OS400 as well as BRMS), HMC based systems, Robot Schedule and Robot ConsoleContinuously observes the operation of the computer console panel, storage devices, printers and the actions of the console monitor or the system and determine the point of equipment or program failure.Experience with tape libraries and backup management Basic knowledge of BRMS, NETWORKER,SPECTRUMDemonstrate superior judgment in decision making Thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment Monitors on-line system functions.De-briefing leadership on statistics of the Data CenterManaging relationships with end users in the entire companyAnswering escalated callsConfers with technical and applications personnel when malfunctions exceed expertise or in the event errors require a change of instructions or sequence of operationsExcel at setting and ensuring adherence to standards and performance expectations knowledge of basic network support, network printer, LAN printer and remote queues Excellent verbal and written communications
